I wonder if it was possible to update a FX, NX or MCA via CAN-Bus using the UDS functionality, like we do on other Ford modules (IPC, PDC, ...) ?
Have ever anybody tested this? I may also be usefull if there are functions to read/write memory (flash or RAM) via CAN.

I’m interested to try, but first I need end the seed calculator to write HEC firmware and video module to my NX, in this moment I’m waiting help to seed calculator and waiting to my max from China to install a good video switch.
Is possible we need seed calculator to NX? I thing a good idea look a Ucds with another CAN sniffer and take CAN signals to write dead modules. Is possible a good solution with dead NX.

I’m thinking to write firmware with CAN BUS, the Ucds have “dead module” option to write some modules when the unit don’t turn on. I recover some kuga instrument cluster when file during update. I have some instrument cluster to reply fail and try to recovers. And the same time read the can bus signals to copy the sequence. Is possible have a SEED to program NX/MCA? Next days I try it.

I would be vary wary of doing anything over the MM-CAN bus - I killed a DAB module trying to update through UCDS and had to recover on the bench; I think because there is no direct connection to MM-CAN, only via IPC?

it is not possible update FX,NX,MCA on CAN.
To update FX,NX,MCA Via CAN you need SBL (bootloader) and this bootloader not exist...

@Go4IT I found i was unable to communicate with the DAB module using MM-CAN through UCDS; Gwe89 also found the same....?

Could you measure the current drawn by the module after connectinh it to 12v powerspurce?
If it is 0 mA then maybe a voltage regulator is broke inside.
