Yes, you have the right USB to Ethernet cable.
Software can be downloaded for free from their websites. One of them is: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/diagn ... goryId=276
When connecting for the first time, choose US, then access the link again.
FJDS is IDS but has compatibility only with J2534 interfaces and is for non Ford dealers.
GFDRS / FDRS is thought as a replacement for IDS and eTis IDS. It can work with VCM II / III or any J2534 device. It is only for Ford dealers.
You can use IDS with VCM and that account that you have, but only if IDS still offers that 3-5 day evaluation period or you'll need a full license for it (too expensive for what you want).
You can also use UCDS (clones are not that good with J2534) and FJDS.

Great findings! I'm looking for that kind of cable, could not find one on any market (even Chinese), because the clones uses Sub-D25 connectors instead of this custom one... can't find it on any plug manufacturer (TE, Amphenol, Molex, ...) so it may be hard to gather and the tipp to solder a different adapter board come in handy.
Re: Pinout of ROTUNDA port to car (OBD)
Sorry, just don't get it 100%. I've already downloaded IDS, but what i want is "only" FJDS, because License is cheaper and it should support J2534 passthrough-able Adapters (maybe UCDS is sufficient here). But i can't FJDS as a separate product anywhere.DGAlexandru wrote: ↑19 Jul 2021, 06:27 FJDS is IDS but has compatibility only with J2534 interfaces and is for non Ford dealers.

Any why do you think it's overkill to use that for ABS/BCM PATS programming? I could not find anything else and i don't think INCODE/OUTCODE services can help me, as they most likely give old data and since FL PATS has changed to online only (could not be used by "proxy").

IDS is one software, FJDS is another sotware. They look very much alike as FJDS is IDS with different interface drivers. They cannot be installed on the same Windows environment.
If IDS still has 3-5 days of evaluation period, you can use IDS as it works with your VCM; otherwise use FJDS with UCDS interface.
OBD cable with D-SUB 25 is cable for VCM II (BOSCH VCI). You could also use this cable if you want to modify that internal adapter of your VCM.
PATS for EU Ford Cars after 05.2010 is available also at some "locksmiths" that use special equipment like ZedFull; you can still use OutCode/InCode with this newer ones and ForScan if you find someone with this locksmith tools that can generate it for you.

Licensed or unlicensed IDS, FJDS or FRDS when you need PATS functions for 2010+ cars (Euro5 or newer) will require either a dealer account, either a certified professional account. The latter is available for professionals who pay a 500 Euro non-rambursable verification fee to Ford, prove to have a reputable business in the automotive field and are insured for certain things. Very expensive for an individual.
Should you plan to use the VCM for IDS (waste of time, IMHO, most functions are available in Forscan) you will get no access to PATS without a PATS-enabled Ford account.
After-market tools are quite expensive, as far as I know, so your best option is to ask the FFH for the swap.

Wow, thanks for clearing that out, very informative and helpfull!
Oh, i've thought this way in the first but my garage is quite far away (30km) and i then also need to beg them to replace the parts. For an BCM, this is very easy tough, but for an ABS? And i even don't think they will build something used, brought by a customer into a car because when they program it, they are somewhat responsible... i think you need to know somebody working there to do such things...

For ABS you can program PATS with the original ABS on car and the new one only connected to the electrical connector.
After the new ABS is programmed you have the option to leave it connected to car and drive the car like this till home and here you'll do the entire ABS swap process or start the car, disconnect new ABS (now you can even connect to old ABS) and drive the car till home and then do the swap.
30km can be done without ABS. Brakes would still work.
The only problem with this approach is available space between ABS and battery.
