Hi
I'm Vladimir and I came here because I got for dissection a sat nav device made by Blaupunk for my car. I've managed to buy one at a very cheap price being malfunctioned and now I'm gathering exitsting knowledge to move further.
So far it's known that it bases on same OMAP5948 SoC and HW platform looks very similar to Ford ones. I managed to make a JTAG connection to it but cheap FT2232H based board in combination with OpenOCD seems to be not stable enough so I'm waiting for J-Link cable to be delivered soon.
Having in the background some expirience with Hitachi/Renesas SH705x based CPUs I'm going to extend my knowledge to this particular platform, even though it is already kinda obsolete.

And to show off a bit - my small github repo here https://github.com/v-ladimir with couple of automotive-related thisngs I've created and wasn't too lazy to share them (I'm still a hobbyst though):
- debug interface board for Hitachi/Renesas SH705x CPUs
- small contribution into the existing project for ECU reflash adding EEPROM manipulation routines via diagnostics port (very handy)

Hey Vlad, thanks for the intro and welcome aboard!
You drive a Nissan? They had radios based on the same HW plattform as Ford devices from Bosch/Blaupunkt.
I've enabled full access to the board for you now.
