Re: Convert MCA into MCA-Plus (Discussion)
Hello!!! after some weeks of a lot of work at home, now i'm retourned to my hobbye.
Yesterday i take few minutes to serch components, but i have some doubts.
in the next components, i see some offers, but have different resistor values, what value is necessary?
BLM18AG (0603)
BLM18AG (0805)
BLM21AG (0805)
and, the capacitors are all to 25v? the 50v are ok?

Hey Oscar, great to know you're on it!
I put a complete BOM here in the wiki https://mk4-wiki.denkdose.de/artikel/na ... achruesten
The resistor value for BLM are all 1 kOhm.
For the caps, any voltage above 5V should do...
Good luck!

Re: Convert MCA into MCA-Plus (Discussion)
Hello, after some time disconnected and working in another proyects, today i received the last components to made this mod.
im impaciently to end work, but this mod need time and no run.
When i finish, i take a pictures of my process and result, i think everithing will be fine!!!
Thanks Go4IT, withouth your information and help this mod for me are impossible to made it.

The graphics board at 99%
Only need install the oscilator, i received a wrong part and need buy another new.
The work have a good aspect, i need to improve but I’m happy with result. hope it works when i finish it.
Thanks Got4IT

Well done, young Padawan! Those resistor-arrays are hard to solder by hand, because they are so small...
I'm really excited if it works right away. Fingers crossed!

Re: Convert MCA into MCA-Plus (Discussion)
Today I received the oscillator and i install it.
I put the graphic board in the unit and install service pack update.
After reboot, I try the video mode. But have a little
Problem with signal. I take a video:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/15a9w6L ... GtQ4oNkvyY
Now have a lot of hot in my work space, more than 35 degrees, but tonight I go to test all new components. And I hope to find a problem.
The video input is near!!!
Thanks Go4IT!!!

Re: Convert MCA into MCA-Plus (Discussion)
After some time looking all parts, i found different part un video ADC.
from instructions need ADV7181C, and i have 1x ADV7181B
I look the graphic board of NX (DVD) and have ADV7181B
no i go to dowload datasheet and search difference in the pinout etc
is possible the problem comes from wront video ADC?

Definitively, they ARE DIFFERENT!oscarboiro wrote: ↑21 Jul 2020, 22:01 from instructions need ADV7181C, and i have 1x ADV7181B

"C" is needed for MCA graphicsboard to work:
Oh boy, you should have better looked at my BOM instead... such a pitty.
Besides it's interesting to know that NX-Plus uses the B-Version, we know that the NX graphicsboard is different from MCA.
So, don't let this drag you down - Go fetch a C-Version, replace it and you are there!
