How to turn on the video on FX Plus

Hello everyone,

I have one FX Plus from Focus on the bench. I want to turn on the video input but no luck.

The CAN message for ignition is the same like on Mondeo - it works but if I send the message for the reverse gear - nothing.

Can anyone tell me if the CAN message is the same as the mondeo? Or another? Or does Radio in Focus use a different way to activate video input?

I also own such a unit. It should work like you told. Put a videosignal into green Fakra, send IGN and REV on CAN and you should see an image.

So in the car (Mondeo FL) it work well, I see the picture from camera. But on the bench, my problem is probably that I have used the "UC*DS can bus player" for that. There is no possibility to set delay for each message.

Btw is there a way to hacking can bus with ELM327/ELS27 adapter for example with software like is Canhacker etc? Or I must have only Arduino, Lawicel etc?

So now also on the bench work fine The problem was that UC*DS can bus player has default speed on mm-can 500 Kbps - there is no settings. Now I have connected my FX to ms-can 125 Kbps and I have the picture from the camera after 3 days

Congrats! But why should UCDS use 500kbit/s on MM? Makes no sense to me...

In theory, ELM327 could be used to send CAN messages. I use a special, Lawicel compatible adaptor for this job.

My think - because Focus III, Fiesta from 2012 has 500 kbit/s on MM. I have one "display with Navi SD-card" MFD 5 from these cars on the bench and it work on 500 kbit/s.

BTW I'm looking for some CAN IDs for this MFD5. I want awake it if someone has, please post here.
