I have content of 2008 CD, but I guess if you burn it, it wont read... I'll share link anyway in pm

No, it won't because the CD is copy protected and you can't copy the protection because it is made of a specific failure on the CD which can't be producted by a burner but only in a CD factory.

The only way to get those units up on firmware is flashing it directly via JTAG with a newer version. If will look mixedup in first, because the firmware on the FGS is not updateable by JTAG, so it thays in the old version. Thus will create funny messages an clipped menues, but if you remember the steps to start the SP after inserting the CD, it will work.

Think is was: Enter PIN => Push NAV+MENU at once to enter Servicemenu => Scroll down by turning the right knob counterclockwise (it will stuck on last entry if turned "enough") => Insert Update-CD and Press right knob to enter the selected update-function => wait 10 secs for the device to read CD content and show update dialog => turn right knob clockwise to select "Continue" button and press knob again. Now it should start the update. Wait for it to finish, even if you see funny dialogs and messages inbetween. After the final restart it has updated the FGS and the device is fully operable.

Hope i remebered the sequence right... please correct if not.
