You're right! I must have noted something wrong... thanks for pointing this out.
Re: Ford Mondeo MK4 CAN-DB
Hm, i remember that speedos must by law show speed about 4% higher than it really is (in German it is called "Tachovoreilung", don't know how to translate this to English). This would perfectly fit your findings and also that my calculation is correct. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Ford Mondeo MK4 CAN-DB
Digital Speed from Test Menu should be the real one.
Only tacho is affected by that 6-10%.
On Mondeo 3, if you had your car bought with 16" wheels, then it would be 10% more; if you change them afterwards with 17" then it would be 7% and for 18" it would be 3% - if you went with the sizes Ford recomended for that car.
If you also write in PCM that you use 17" then with 17" you again see 10% more on tacho and if you put 16" (still 17" in PCM) then it would be somewhere like 13-14% more.
For Mondeo 4 it's something simillar, but having 2 ways of defining the size in CCC, I couldn't find an exact value.

You're right, you can configure the wheelsize!DGAlexandru wrote: ↑23 Feb 2020, 17:55 For Mondeo 4 it's something simillar, but having 2 ways of defining the size in CCC, I couldn't find an exact value.

Maybe it's not only a single byte. Try to change D5 or D7.ronald0001 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2020, 20:04 08B d6 is somtething about fuel...but no chance ti get it to show full with 00....only a little bit mir than half....
And the changes that we see on the Logs could be also caused by levelchanges in the fueltank. Think if the signal is directly sampled as CAN message but the fuel gauge has some integral with a time value that it do not fluctuate too much when driving. Think of hills and start/stops, turns, where the level definitively changes.

Re: Ford Mondeo MK4 CAN-DB
hi
yes i zry to change d5 and d7
d5 shows some engine informations like "vorglühen" for diesel and if not any correct information on d5 and d7 than the fuelgauge didnt move
if i change d7 to any hex under 50 nothing happens on the fuelgauge...
values 50 and over let the gauge move but also only to the shown position on the picture ..
about speed thats normal that it will be shown optimized on the cluster....it was on my old bmw e39 build 1998 the same....cuz of wheels...thats nothing new...
the real speed you have only anywhere on the hs can...all other are "calculated"....also the shown speed in testmenu...it prints exactly the same like my carpi...
