Without this kind of tweezers tool I go with hot air in one hand and a soldering iron in the other one .. and I just move the latter one from one end to the other of that SMD component until it breaks free
Usually taking components off it's much harder than putting them back... well.. except BGA ones.. which currently are out of my reach

I see. The tip itself is about 100-130€, but you shure need a (special?) solderingstation from JBC. I am a bit confused which to buy. Prices start from 380€ up to 1.700€ :?

The full solution is too expensive for my taste, but I agree they do seem professional enough to maybe deserve that amount of money :P

A starting point would be CP-2QE which includes AM120-A Adjustable Micro Tweezers, but no "cartridges" (C120 cartridges type)... that can be found at about 500EUR... in a compact form.

If you try to build the same thing by buying the parts separately will take about 658EUR from your pocket:
PA-120A (Micro Tweezers)
DI-2D (1 Tool Control Unit )
AM-SA (Stand for AM120 & PA120 Micro Tweezers)

Looking again at Stevebe's gears I think that he is a salesman for JBC and infiltrated on this forum saying that he is interested in this Convers+ thing in order to gain some trust from us and after that, little by little, he will start selling this JBC products that seem pretty appealing :D

When you get to my age and you have been working in electronics as long as I have life does have its little perks, I primarily repair valve amplifiers
And build bespoke guitar amplifiers, then all this surface mount stuff started to invade my life so I thought I would look into making my life a little easier
So I invested in the best I could afford and believe me it was the best thing I ever did. Yeah it’s pricey but you only get what you pay for. :D

Who do you think would spend that much on gear hear,, ;)

Ps not certain where your looking for prices tweezer cartridges £31 each.
