I got that experience
Will see, I also really hope that this won't be needed and reflash would be enough. And my J-Link is still being delivered... For over 1,5 month already
Meanwhile I got my spare S29GL512 delivered, hope that it's genuine or at least workable, huh Though, it looks ok so if the one in my unit is faulty I'm ready to replace.
And still waiting for Jlink - it is already travelling for over a month since I've ordered it
Yesterday I managed to do one more check with another FT232HQ based JTAG adapter (J-link is still travelling while I cannot wait and want to do something around it). Unsuccessful so far - connection is still unstable, sometimes I even get different TAP IDs for same TAPs... But I have found out that ...
Binwalk only found couple of ELFs, FATX header and several JFFS headers in a row (I believe these are false positives though) along with linux kernel :) Didn't check yet whether it's true but I assume boot logo image should be in fgs.dnl as it was described in other topic here which did not dissect ...
Agree, I also guess so. As I was sayig above it seem to be the case because pulling down corresponding to EXT_BOOT pin has expected effect - no logo is shown and device sends something out via pin correspondong to OUT pin if we use signal names from this page https://mk4-wiki.denkdose.de/artikel/nav...
Do you know by chance can I flash system.elf directly to flash from sector 1 or it is being extra processed before that? Maybe I can get my device back to life without looking for a donor for flash image. I did apply binwalk utility to system.elf from update CD image I have and raw flash image from ...
Yep, thanks - I was using it when I tried to make a FT2232 based JTAG board + OpenOCD work with the device without success. Will try with J-link once more
It operates exactly as it was at the time I got it :) Don't worry, it's just a rosin-based flux, looks dirty but works perfect and I didn't bother too much washing it off. The better one is being delivered to me now along with J-Link and other stuff. Below I made small cleanup, not 100% perfect but ...
It doesn't have V850 RU in it :) Probably this strange IC from ST does it in this unit. Or maybe OMAP controls it all - if the unit is powered on being fully equipped with RAM chips I see logo for ~5 seconds, then there are couple of backlight blinks and then screen goes blank, but the supply voltag...
